How to hide app icon from the main menu

06月 15th, 2008

Normally you should write a server to run in the background.

Anyway, with a normal app, you can do this by adding one line to your <appname>_reg.rss file.

RESOURCE APP_REGISTRATION_INFO
 {
 app_file=”hello_0xE67432E1″;
 localisable_resource_file =  qtn_loc_resource_file_1;
 localisable_resource_id = R_LOCALISABLE_APP_INFO;

 embeddability=KAppNotEmbeddable;
 newfile=KAppDoesNotSupportNewFile;
 hidden=KAppIsHidden;
 }

    hi tong ren.. its great of you to share your knowledge.. i’m definitely book-marking this.. gonna try to create some applications.. if i can! haha, are you able to create an application that uses shake to lock/unlock keypad; able to set to ‘hide’ and ‘autostart’? i’m sure you have all the codes from your other softwares n just need to make some slight modifications to create this software.. you can even add in more features.. but to me the basic is the keypad.. hehe.. maybe you can come up with more ways to ON/OFF phone functions by shaking! cheers!
